The City of Campbell River invites tenders for Beech Street Upgrades project which includes the following generalized scope of work:

Work under this Contract includes but is not limited to the complete rehabilitation of all above and below grade municipal utilities on approximately 250m of Beech Street from the intersection of Alder Street westward up to and including the intersection of Cedar Street and 10th Avenue. This involves new watermain, sanitary main, storm main, electrical and communications utilities, curb gutter and sidewalks, asphalt, street lighting and surface landscaping to a level of finish comparable with the most recent Downtown Revitalization works completed on the adjacent Alder, Beech and Debeau Streets.

During the course of construction, the Contractor will be required to maintain vehicle traffic along the roads and affected intersections at all times and access to all properties located within the project limits.

Also included is the requirement to coordinate the necessary permanent asphalt paving with the City’s paving contractor – Tayco Paving, which is delivered under separate contract, and the requirement to reinstate existing pavements markings after paving work is complete.
