The City of Campbell River is requesting proposals to secure the services of a qualified contractor to provide animal control services and operate the animal pound for the City of Campbell River and area. Animal control duties will include seize and impound animals, conduct patrols, catch and transport stray animals including dangerous dogs, investigating complaints regarding by-law violations, gathering evidence, issue tickets, provide evidence and prosecute in court, if required, and provide information and assistance to the public and other organizations. The City also requires the contractor to provide animal pound services at the City’s animal pound and perform such other animal services including the collection, administration and accounting of certain monies associated with the impoundment and boarding of animals.
