Description: |
The City of Campbell River invites tenders for the Waterfront Sewers – Lift Station 4, 5, & 6 project which includes the following generalized scope of work: Work under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, all supervision, construction, equipment, labour, material, permits and related items required for the construction of three (3) new sanitary lift stations to be installed and connected to the City’s active sanitary sewage transmission system. These new lift stations will replace existing lift stations and will require that the contractor undertake all necessary coordination for the commissioning and switchover from the old to the new. The locations are generally described as being within the City limits on Highway 19A between Rockland Road and 3rd Avenue. Lift Station number 4 and all related work at this site is located on private property which will require that the Contractor work directly with the hotel operator so as to coordinate all related works with the hotel operation. During the course of construction, the Contractor will be required to maintain 2-way vehicle traffic on Highway 19A at all times and access to all properties located within the project limits. Also included is the requirement to coordinate the necessary permanent asphalt paving with the City’s paving contractor – Tayco Paving, which is delivered under separate contract, and the requirement to reinstate existing pavements markings after paving work is complete. In order for the Tenderer to assess the sub-surface ground condition at the Lift Station No. 4 site, a test hole will be dug at the location of the future wet well. This test hole will be accessible over the period of July 13th, 2020 and July 17th, 2020. As per item 8.1 of the Instructions to Tenderers Part II, it is expected that the Tenderer will have inspected this place of work. |
