The City of Campbell River invites tenders for the Elk Falls Water Quality Treatment Centre (EFWQTC)
Abandonment Project which includes the following generalized scope of work:

Work under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, all supervision, construction, equipment, labour,
material, permits and related items required for the abandonment of civil infrastructure at the former City Elk
Falls Water Quality Treatment Centre (EFWQTC). Sections of existing underground water transmission
pipelines are to be removed and others filled with CDF. Appurtenances are to be removed and final grading and
reinstatement of disturbed areas. Infrastructure within the existing UV building is also to be removed and the
structure reinstated.

Also included is the requirement for all individuals accessing or working on the property, owned by BC Hydro, to
undergo BC Hydro’s Worker Protection Practice Category A training, a half-day course.

Also included is the requirement to coordinate the necessary permanent asphalt paving with the City’s paving
contractor – Tayco Paving, which is delivered under separate contract.
